ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Groundhog Day Jugglers' Festival was a resounding success. Several television newspeop1e were there, and we were also covered in the Atlanta Journal/Constitution and several Neighbor Newspapers.

Winners of the competitions were 3-time winner Larry Vacksman, North Carolinian Benji Hill, and professional juggler John Mallery.

Meetings are still being held at the Moreland School, Austin Avenue at Euclid Avenue, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:30 PM.

THE OFFICIAL AJA POLICY ON PAYING GIGS: AJA members may share in

the cash made from performances. Traditionally, the Atlanta Jugglers Association gets half of the money from gigs gotten through the organization. For smaller payments, the AJA may get a1l1 the money. This is usually discussed before the gig. The .person arranging the gig through the AJA is also responsible for limiting the number of performers that show up, if appropriate.

WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS Alex AIIred; Mark Anderson, Charles and Shirley Berlin, Ann Cogdell, Beth Fordyce, Cheryl Hill, Robert Jamieson, Doug McFalls, Brian Morgan, Holly O'Hare, Wes Sandefur, Warren Summers, and Sharon Withrow.
