NEWSLETTER  Vol. 1, No.3

THE GROUNDHOG DAY JUGGLING FESTIVAL.... is happening! We plan to hold this first annual event February2, 3, and 4 in the Civic Center. A fact sheet that is being sent to jugglers throughout the Southeast is included. We need suggestions for any activities or ideas that will make this festival more successful.

HELP!!...There are many things to be rone in connection with this festival. Toni Shifalo and Roger French are in New York until January 16 acting in a play. Until then, Bill Giduz will act as the central coordinator along with Henry Slack. If you are willing to help in any capacity, please contact either Henry or Bill. If you are planning on attending, please contact either Henry or Bill. We will be calling around to find out who is coming, etc...but please save us the time and call us if possible.

SPECIFIC HELP NEEDED ON...putting up posters around town, sending out promotional information, attending the registration desk, teaching juggling to the public during the Festival, providing housing for people coming in from out of town. If you would like to volunteer for any of the above, please call Henry or Bill.

AS CONVENTION HOSTS...the AJA will put on an exhibition of individual and group juggling talent at about 1:30 or 2 on Saturday, before the open competition (which all AJA members may participate in). We would like for AJA members to take the stage individually or together, tell the audience who you are and how you started juggling, then give a short demonstration of your skills. This is not mandatory, but is a nice way to let everyone else know who we are and how we came to be jugglers.

JANUARY MEETINGS...will be held Saturday, Jan. 13 and Saturday, January 27 in a basement room of the Highland Branch of the Atlanta Public Library (corner of N. Highland and St. Charles) at 4 p.m.

More Groundhog Day Juggling Festival details will be revealed then and we hope everyone can make it.
