The fifth annual Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival will be held February 4-6,1983. The festival is sponsored by the Atlanta Jugglers Association, a nonprofit organization which numbers some of the best jugglers in the Southeast among its members. The gathering will bring over 70 jugglers to Atlanta, including several with national reputations.
It will run 4-midnight Friday, 10-10 Saturday, and 10-6 Sunday in the gymnasium of the Paideia School at 1509 Ponce de Leon Avenue. A competition, featuring awards for the most stupendous, incredible, and spectacular jugglers, is scheduled for Saturday at 2 pm. Two public shows will entertain the crowds Sunday at 2 pm and 4 pm. The AJA will not charge for admission to the shows, but donations will be solicited. The public is also invited to the competitions and the gymnasium during the festival.
